Saudi Arabia has issued a stern warning to expatriates and visitors, stating that overstaying an entry visa will result in severe penalties. According to the Ministry of Interior, violators face fines up to SR 50,000, up to six months in prison, deportation, and a potential ban on re-entering the Kingdom. The crackdown is part of a nationwide campaign to enforce residency and labour laws, which has already seen over 15,400 violators arrested between July 2 and July 8, 2026. Authorities are urging the public to report violations through official channels.
