The UAE and Canada have officially concluded negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), marking a significant milestone in their growing economic relationship. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, and Maninder Sidhu, Canadian Minister of International Trade, announced the success during a delegation visit to Toronto. The agreement is set to eliminate tariffs, cut bureaucratic hurdles, and expand market access across key sectors like aerospace, agri-food, and critical minerals. Bilateral trade between the two nations reached $4.2 billion in 2025, and this CEPA is projected to facilitate billions of dollars in new trade flows.
