The United Arab Emirates has indefinitely suspended all commercial activities, trade exchanges, and financial transactions with Iran as of Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
The announcement follows reports from the UAE Ministry of Defense that air defense systems intercepted two ballistic missiles launched toward the country. The Ministry confirmed that one missile fell outside the UAE’s territorial waters while the second fell within them. Iran’s Foreign Ministry has denied the allegations, warning against operations carried out under false flags.
