The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has confirmed that today, June 30, 2026, marks the final deadline for private sector companies with 50 or more employees to meet their mid-year Emiratisation targets. Eligible firms are required to achieve a 1 percent increase in the hiring of skilled Emiratis before the day concludes.
Companies failing to meet this regulatory milestone will face significant financial contributions starting from July 1, amounting to AED 10,000 per month—or AED 120,000 annually—for every unfilled Emirati position. The ministry emphasized that its advanced digital monitoring systems and artificial intelligence tools are actively being deployed to detect any ‘sham Emiratisation’ practices.
