Kuwait condemns Iranian missile and drone attacks as major security breach

Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a strong condemnation following missile and drone attacks on its territory, labeling the strikes a “dangerous escalation” and a flagrant violation of sovereignty. The government confirmed that vital infrastructure and civilian areas were targeted, breaching international law and UN Security Council Resolution 2817. Kuwait has asserted its right to defend its territory under Article 51 of the UN Charter, while calling for an immediate and unconditional cessation of hostilities. Regional neighbors, including the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, have issued separate statements reaffirming their full solidarity with Kuwait and rejecting any threats to the region’s stability.
