The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Sport, in coordination with the National Center for Privatization (NCP), has officially opened the prequalification phase for the privatization of five additional domestic sports clubs. Announced on June 9, 2026, the initiative sets a formal deadline of July 5, 2026, for interested regional and international investment consortia to submit their prequalification applications. Financial authorities note that the expanded privatization drive is a key component of the Kingdom’s strategy to foster corporate investment in the sports ecosystem, elevate professional standards, and stimulate private sector participation within the leisure and entertainment industries under the goals of Vision 2030.
