Anticipating a heavy surge in international travel during the peak summer holiday season, Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports issued an urgent advisory to citizens on Tuesday. The authority reminded travelers to thoroughly verify the remaining validity on their passports prior to booking flights or arriving at border exit points.
Under the official guidelines, citizens traveling to other Arab nations must possess a passport with a minimum remaining validity of three months. For travel destinations outside the Arab world, passports must hold a minimum validity of six months. The directorate emphasized that these strict regulatory timelines are non-negotiable and essential to prevent border delays, boarding denials, or immediate repatriation.
