UAE and regional partners condemn Israeli escalations at Al Aqsa Mosque

The UAE has joined seven regional countries in a joint statement condemning recent Israeli escalations at the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem. The foreign ministers of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan criticized visits by Israeli settlers led by extremist ministers under police protection.

The ministers denounced inflammatory actions, including the raising of the Israeli flag within the compound and new access restrictions affecting Muslim worshippers. The joint statement emphasized that these actions violate international law and the historical status quo, urging the international community to take a firm stance.
