UAE strongly condemns Iranian attacks on national oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz

The United Arab Emirates has denounced in the strongest terms the hostile attacks by Iran targeting two of its national oil tankers, the Mombasa and Al Bahiyah. The incident occurred while the vessels were transiting the southern shipping lane of the Strait of Hormuz. According to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the missile strikes resulted in the death of one Indian crew member and left eight others injured.

The Ministry stressed that such actions represent a severe and dangerous escalation, directly threatening the freedom of navigation, regional stability, and global energy security.
