Qatar activates mandatory summer outdoor work restrictions to protect industrial workforce

Qatar’s Ministry of Labour (MoL) has officially commenced its seasonal midday outdoor work restrictions to safeguard the physical health and operational safety of the national labor workforce during the peak summer months. Running from June 1 to September 15, 2026, the statutory directive strictly prohibits any industrial or open-air infrastructure operations between the high-heat window of 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM. The ministry has deployed field enforcement teams to conduct unannounced safety audits across construction zones nationwide, warning that non-compliant firms face immediate operational closures and administrative fines. Concurrently, the Indian Embassy in Doha maintains regular consular cooperation frameworks to support resident community welfare, while regional diplomatic engagement remains focused on shared GCC stability objectives.
