Red alerts issued in Saudi Arabia as heavy rain and thunderstorms continue

The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) in Saudi Arabia issued red alerts on September 3, 2026, for heavy rain and thunderstorms across the Asir and Al-Baha regions.

Orange and yellow alerts were also activated for parts of Makkah and the Eastern Province. The NCM warned of potential flash floods, hail, and active winds stirring up dust and sand across affected areas.
