Saudi Arabia continues its unwavering commitment to robust governance and comprehensive economic development, guided by its ambitious Vision 2030. The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has reported significant progress in its ongoing efforts to uphold institutional integrity and combat corruption. In a recent operation, Nazaha announced the arrest of 156 individuals, including both citizens and expatriate residents, on charges related to bribery, abuse of office, and other forms of graft. These investigations spanned multiple government ministries, including Health, Justice, Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, and Education, reflecting a broad and systematic approach to ensuring transparency and accountability across all sectors. This proactive stance reinforces the Kingdom’s dedication to maintaining a fair and just administrative environment.
In parallel with these governance enhancements, Saudi Arabia is pressing forward with its transformative national development projects. The NEOM megaproject, a cornerstone of Vision 2030, is undergoing strategic optimization to ensure its long-term success and alignment with evolving development goals. While large-scale projects often involve phased developmental adjustments, the Kingdom remains committed to realizing NEOM’s ambitious vision for a sustainable and futuristic urban landscape. Further bolstering its infrastructure, Doosan Enerbility has secured a $556 million contract for the second phase of the Jafurah gas processing plant, highlighting the continuous investment in critical energy infrastructure.
The Kingdom also successfully concluded the Hajj 2026 season, with King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman extending congratulations to the Interior Minister for the successful management of the pilgrimage, which saw 1.5 million pilgrims participate. The new Umrah season has officially commenced, welcoming pilgrims from around the world. The Saudi Red Crescent ensures round-the-clock emergency care for pilgrims in Madinah, demonstrating the Kingdom’s commitment to the well-being of all visitors. Judicial reforms were also showcased at the Kuala Lumpur book fair, emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s dedication to legal modernization and international cooperation.
