Kuwait Manpower Authority issues final reminder for June 30 expat visa transfer deadline

Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has issued an urgent advisory reminding expatriate workers and local employers to utilize the ongoing temporary labor transfer grace period before it concludes on June 30, 2026. The regulatory window allows foreign laborers to transfer their work permits internally between companies, offering critical flexibility in the local job market. Authorities emphasized that no extensions will be granted past the end of the month, and strict enforcement measures will commence immediately after the deadline. Expatriates seeking to rectify their legal employment status or switch sponsors are urged to finalize their documentation through governorate service centers this week to avoid fines, deportations, or administrative blacklisting. This push follows recent efforts by the Ministry of Interior to clean up the domestic labor sector and tighten entry regulations.
